PiYO

I have decided that I want to take my life in a new direction.  I have worked out for years, but I never stick with it to where I see the results that I would like to see.  I finally decided that what I need is accountability.  I had a friend that began working out with me five times a week.  This was all going well until she moved.  I was then left looking for a new workout partner.  I found my new workout partner, and we have really had fun going to the gym, measuring our waistlines, checking our weight, and comparing results.  However, she has now moved as well, and I am left all alone and needing that accountability again.  In a result to hopefully help this problem once and for all, I am going to Tulsa his weekend to become a certified PiYO instructor.  This is a workout program that I have not found in the Joplin area, but when I watch videos of it, I find intriguing to me.  I am hoping that this will open a new door for me, and help me be prepared for summer, as well as bring a new fun fitness program to the Joplin area.  My only thing left to do now, is to contact places to see where I can teach and what places will be the best fit for me.  I am so nervous about heading up a class on my own, but at the same time I am so excited to see with this new journey takes me.

  1. I have no idea what PiYo is, but I wish you the best with it. I have not ever had to really watch my weight before. I have always been around 110 to 115. The day I had all three of my kids, I only weighed 134. Now, I weigh 132. I am disgusted with my self. I have started doing sit ups at night, and started jogging down our lane in the mornings before work. I would be interested in learning about this fitness program you are starting up. Keep us posted on how it goes.

  2. That is so interesting! I would really enjoy learning how to do that, how long is the course? The last time I looked at becoming involved in something like that it was a few years of training and working under other teachers before you could teach yourself. Let me know how this goes!
