My Gripe with Financial Aid
This is going to be more of a gripe fest than anything. The school's financial aid about drives me crazy. I turned in all my financial aid last semester, but I didn't end up being able to attend. I'm finally enrolled this semester, and I'm very excited to finally be on the "right track." I have contacted my financial aid advisor, she said that I had done my part and she was pushing everything through, and that I should be good by Friday. Unfortunately, here it is Thursday, and nothing is finished. I have done everything on my part, but I'm still waiting on them. I'm beginning to get nervous because I just recently got a job after being unemployed for almost six months. Since I have been unemployed, I obviously don't have the money to make the first payment if I set up payment plans. This just irritates me slightly. I hate how every time I've been enrolled, everything goes smoothly except for the financial aid part. The most important part in my opinion. This hasn't just happened to me, but to my siblings and friends as well. I totally understand that there are thousands of us to take care of, but this just stresses me out. I guess the moral of this post would be, why does financial aid have to end up being so difficult, and stress me out every semester? This semester is off to a pretty great start other than for this.

I agree with your griping about financial aid. I am always nervous that my schooling won't be paid for. We students shouldn't have to worry about what the school is doing with our money, especially when we do our part to make things happen. This is very frustrating, and I know plenty of people who have had complaints about financial aid as well. You are not alone!
